My name is John Heidenescher. I'm a professional photographer and Army veteran, and I know that true confidence is built on honesty.
This isn't a high-volume, impersonal session. I focus exclusively on one-on-one sessions to protect your comfort and privacy. That's what lets us capture the honest, RAW essence of your story.

What Boudoir Actually Is
A welcoming experience centered on intimate storytelling and genuine self-celebration — a gentle opportunity to explore emotional honesty and vulnerability in a comfortable space. By focusing on atmosphere, deliberate lighting, and your authentic self, we create art that reflects your true beauty and captures exactly who you are.
What boudoir is not:

It is not pornography, which is created for a third-party viewer — boudoir is created entirely for you, relying on artistry, shadow, and implied intimacy rather than explicit display.

Nudity is never mandatory; whether you wear traditional lingerie, a comfortably draped sheet, or something uniquely yours, the focus stays on your vulnerability and emotion, not the amount of fabric.

It's not about the "male gaze" — this is not a performance designed to fit someone else's idea of attractiveness. You retain total control over your boundaries, so the experience is entirely your own.

Stepping into a boudoir session can feel unnerving at first. You may feel vulnerable and it requires my trust as the photographer. From the moment you step in front of my camera, I’ll be there to guide, support, and uplift you every step of the way.

What To Expect
Session Time:
Each session is designed to give you the perfect balance of creativity and comfort. You should arrive 80% ready to shoot. Most portrait and headshot sessions last about 60 to 90 minutes. This allows us to go through your outfit choices, backdrops, and lighting setups. If we’re working on a more elaborate concept, we’ll plan accordingly to ensure we capture everything you envision.
Outfits & Styling:
Bringing a selection of outfits can help add variety to your final images. I recommend bringing at least two to three options, so we can mix things up and find the perfect look for you. If you’re unsure about what to wear, I’m happy to offer guidance to make sure your wardrobe complements the mood and style of the shoot. Most services will allow for two outfits. I have a prep guide for boudoir sessions that includes helpful information for preparing for your shoot.
Number of People:
Each session is tailored to you, but if you’d like to include a partner, friend, just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly. While I primarily focus on one individual, I always allow for you to have someone accompany you during the shoot. I recommend a friend, spouse, or partner that is supportive and makes you comfortable. This is about you. You should have a great time. Please do not bring children that could interfere or distract you from your shoot.
Props & Personal Touches:
Props can add a personal touch to your session. Whether it’s a vintage accessory, a meaningful object, or something fun to enhance the theme, feel free to bring anything that reflects your personality or the story you want to tell.
Post-Production & Editing:
After your session, I carefully curate and edit each selected image to bring out the best details. My post-production work includes color grading, skin retouching, lighting enhancements, and overall refinement while maintaining a natural and authentic look. Your final images will be a polished version of the story we captured together. I can take requests for more specialized edits like slimming or enhancing.
Your Images:
Once you’ve chosen your favorite images, you have the option to receive them as high-quality digital files or elevate them with professionally printed artwork. Whether you want stunning wall prints, albums, or specialty metal prints, I offer premium printing options to turn your portraits into timeless keepsakes.
If you have any specific requests or ideas, let’s chat before your session to make sure everything is just right! So if you have a room in your house you want to hang your photo on, we can make sure it fits the room in the style you want.
